What Brought you to Relentless Fitness?

I am one of the co-owners of Relentless. Roger and I set out to build a community and experience that represented us and our expertise. As a licensed social worker I noticed a lack of focus on nutrition and exercise. I saw an opportunity in Relentless to blend all my knowledge and experience as social worker, gymnast, and coach. With my degree, athletic accomplishments, and over a decade of coaching under my belt, Kid Relentless was created. I am so proud of what we have built and I am honored to be surrounded by such amazing and inspiring people (both kids and adults).

What Does Fitness mean to you?

From my long career in the sport of gymnastics, I now suffer from chronic back pain. Due to my injury, my definition of fitness has shifted over the years. Now, fitness is about being healthy and capable. Whatever you love to do, you should be able to do it with confidence and ease. Fitness is a necessary component that can help you live your life to the fullest and achieve your goals in and out of the gym. No matter the state of my body, fitness aids me in feeling strong both inside and out.

HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF TRAINING:

I love hiking in the Wissahickon and taking long walks exploring the city with my dog, Wylie. I enjoy spending time with my crazy family — we love volleyball and piñatas. Resting and doing nothing after a long week of training is welcomed and cherished. I am also slightly obsessed with nline shopping — I love shoes!

Certifications/Qualifications:

I have been involved in the sport of gymnastics since I was 2 years old. I was a highly competitive gymnast until 1999. I was fortunate to travel the US and internationally for competitions. My highest achievement was becoming the Level 10 National Vaulting Champion in 1998. Once my career ended I started coaching and exploring the world of fitness. I have been teaching all levels of gymnastics for the last 15 years and I am also an ACE certified personal trainer.

I am all about taking a holistic approach to health — exercise is only one piece of the puzzle. Changing your lifestyle isn’t easy and I hope to act as a support for you. I am excited to share the tools that I have learned to help you reach your goal. I can’t
wait to help you become the best you yet!
